The ISC D4 PRO is an outstanding piece of equipment that has gained recognition among rope access users and rescuers worldwide. This solution is particularly useful for longer descents and in rescue and belay applications, where smooth descent and safety, even under heavy loads, are crucial.
It's important to note that due to the absence of a panic brake, the D4PRO does not fully meet the criteria of the ANSI standard. Nevertheless, you can have full confidence in this product as it is fully certified according to the EN 12841 standard, where the panic brake is not a mandatory requirement. If you require a device that fully complies with ANSI standards, check out the RP880 D4 Work/Rescue Descender model, which features a panic brake.
