The models from the BFD collection are a family of basic lanyards that protect against falls from height and comply with the relevant industry standards. They are extremely easy to use and durable, and thanks to the multitude of versions available, every user will be able to choose the one that suits their needs.
Y-type lanyard
A model with two arms directly connected to the absorber. The lanyard is available in two versions, with lengths of 1.5 m and 2 m respectively.
Based on FS 90 ST steel hooks
In the version with the code designation L-0117, SKYLOTEC used FS 90 ST steel hooks. They have a large clearance of 60 mm, which guarantees that they can be used without any problems on most steel structures, trusses or power poles. They are characterised by a very high strength of 23 kN and a low weight of 480 g per piece. They are extremely easy and ergonomic to use, even when wearing gloves.
The lanyard arms are constructed from a 12 mm polyamide rope. Its colourful braid, visible from a distance, not only increases work safety but also facilitates annual inspection of the condition of the fibres.
Innovative energy absorber
The BFD absorber is a design that ensures maximum safety during operation and meets all current EN standards. The stitched polyamide strap breaks, absorbing the energy generated in the event of an accident, protecting the life and health of the technician. The absorber itself is extremely small and lightweight (180 g) and is additionally concealed in an attractive, durable cover. The lanyard can handle loads of up to 100 kg.
Fall indicators
ll Skylotec lanyards have sewn-in fall indicators. These are simple and clear signs showing whether excessive forces have been exerted on the lanyard. If this type of situation occurs, a special red tag inside the transport bag breaks off, indicating that the item must be withdrawn from further use. This solution significantly increases the safety of the technician.
Individual serial number and long service life
Each SKYLOTEC product has an individual serial number and the exact date of manufacture (month and year). This makes the annual inspection of such products much easier. The label itself is well protected from external factors and remains legible over time. In addition, all SKYLOTEC textile products have a 10-year approval period, calculated from the date of manufacture. It is important to remember to carry out regular visual and functional checks in accordance with the operating instructions and local requirements.
Full industrial certification
The lanyard complies with all current European standards EN 354 and EN 355. The appropriate production parameters are ensured by the ISO 9001 quality management system implemented by SKYLOTEC and proprietary solutions. Each item is individually inspected multiple times throughout the production process to meet the high standards set by the manufacturer. What is more, this applies not only to the brand's own factories, but also to its subcontractors.
