The lenses of the glasses are made of polycarbonate. This material is 20 times more impact resistant than glass and much lighter (the specific weight of a polycarbonate lens is 1.22 g / cm3 compared to 2.53 g / cm3 for a mineral lens). Polycarbonate lenses offer the best combination of protection, performance and visual comfort. Our high contrast lenses are made of polycarbonate.

For greater durability, the lenses are coated with a specially formulated Anti-Scratch Coating. The hard coating applied to the outside of the lens increases the hardness of the lens, improving scratch and abrasion resistance. Our coating also provides a better foundation for the adhesion of the mirror coating.

The lenses provide protection from the eye-damaging UV rays to the extent of category 3. Cat 3 glasses are perfect for sunny days in daily use, during expeditions in the mountains, climbing, trekking and during a vacation to hot countries. Category 3 provides a light transmission of 8-18%.

The rubber and plastic parts of the frames are double-injected. This means more flexible frames for maximum comfort and no pressure points. The frames are additionally equipped with a non-slip rubber band on the temples or bridge that prevents the glasses from slipping off the nose.
