Xtar X2 is a professional processor charger with three-stage TC/CC/CV charging process and LCD display. It charges 1-2 Li-ion 3.6 / 3.7V and NiMH cells in sizes AAA/R03, AA/R6, SUB-C/SC, R14/C, 14500, 14650, 16340, 17500, 17670, 18350, 18500, 18650, 18700, 20700, 21700, 22650, 25500, 26650. However, the protected 20700 and 21700 cells cannot be charged due to excessive length.
Key features:
Processor-controlled three-stage TC/CC/CV charging process.
Two independent charging channels
Intelligent color backlit display showing charging current, cell charge percentage and time to full charge
Recognition and display of the type of cell being charged: NiMh, Li-Ion or NiCd
Powered by any micro USB charger or from your computer's USB port
Compact size - easy to carry around
Reactivation function for deeply discharged cells
Protection: short circuit, thermal, reverse polarity protection
The TC/CC/CV charging method is a three-stage charging process for Li-ion cells that ensures that the cell remains in good condition by charging with the right current at each stage and completing the charging process at the right time. The different stages of the TC/CC/CV process are: -TC phase: cells discharged below 2.9V are 'energized' with a lower current. -CC phase: when the cell reaches 2.9V, it is charged with a constant current of 0.05A to 0.5A (depending on the power source used). -CV phase: when the cell is almost charged, the charger switches to charging with a decreasing current until the cell reaches 4.2V. When 4.2V is reached, the charging process is complete - the battery is fully charged
Charged batteries left in the charger will undergo a natural process of self-discharge. Charging will resume when the voltage on the battery drops below the set threshold.
The Xtar X2 charger has a function to reactivate deeply discharged cells and cells with 0V. Simply insert a deeply discharged battery into the X2 charger as you would for normal charging. The charger will detect the discharged cell and attempt to reactivate it. Caution: cells discharged below a certain level are irreversibly damaged and may not be able to be reactivated. Avoid discharging Li-ion batteries too deeply - this can lead to a significant reduction in their life and capacity or lead to their complete failure.
The Xtar X2 charger comes with a 230V mains cable, the so-called eight.
The charger can be powered by the included 230V cable or micro USB cable and any charger with a USB socket, such as from a phone, or a USB socket or a computer with a USB port. The recommended power of the charger is 2.1A (2100mA). USB cable and USB power adapter are not included.
